For all of us, our first exposure to art occurred before we were even born..... listening to our mother's heart beat gave us that instinctive attraction to rhythm. As babies, lullabies soothed us to sleep and as toddlers we learned to sing songs and admired nursery rhymes. As youngsters we were handed our first Crayola and paper and an outpouring of images began, and a box and stick became our first musical instrument, the drum. Growing older, a walk in the park to listen to the birds singing inspired us to make songs of our own......... and on it went....... we've grown up surrounded by a never-ending stream of exposure to all kinds of art, and our lives are richer and more meaninful for the art we have experienced.
Stop and think for a minute.... if all forms of art were taken away from you what would your life be like? This page is dedicated to those who want to share the wonders of art with the next generation in our community - inspiring them to get involved and have a life-long love of the arts. Tell us what you're doing to enrich children's lives in the amazing world of the arts and we'll share your story here.....
